Flavored Lemonade

It shouldn't be a secret that I love Lemonade. Anything with a tangy sweet citrus taste will get my approval. So I gathered some of my favorite ingredients, looked through a few recipes online, and mashed them all together to create a couple tasty flavored lemonade recipes! Please enjoy...

PEACH & BASIL LEMONADE

1 cup sugar
2 cups water
1/4 cup basil
1 1/2 cups lemon juice
peaches

In a saucepan, on the stove, add the sugar, water and basil. Bring the mixture to a bowl. Make sure all the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and cover with a lid. Let it sit for an hour. Strain the basil out and let it cool. Once it is cool, add the lemon juice.

While the lemonade is cooling, slice and peel your peaches. Put the peaches in a food processor or blender and puree. Strain the puree through a cooking strainer.

To serve: put 1 cup of basil lemonade in a glass, top with 2 Tablespoons of peach puree, a lemon slice, a garnish of basil leaves, and a pretty stripe paper straw.

BLUEBERRY & MINT LEMONADE

1 cup sugar
2 cups water
1/4 cup mint
1 1/2 cups lemon juice
blueberries

In a saucepan, on the stove, add the sugar, water and mint. Bring the mixture to a bowl. Make sure all the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and cover with a lid. Let it sit for an hour. Strain the mint out and let it cool. Once it is cool, add the lemon juice.

While the lemonade is cooling, pull out your blueberries. Put the blueberries in a food processor or blender and puree. Strain the puree through a cooking strainer.

To serve: put 1 cup of mint lemonade in a glass, top with 2 Tablespoons of blueberry puree, a lemon slice, a garnish of mint leaves, and a pretty stripe paper straw.
