Obviously, the highlight of this party is the star gazing. It was the main activity that we enjoyed, and I didn't think that there was much else needed after treats and light conversation.
There are many different places you can go to get constellation maps. I got mine from NASA, since I was hoping to get something reliable. I was extremely happy with the outcome!
Visit the Star Finder page to find a constellation map for each month of the year. So, no matter when you are going star gazing, you can be sure to have a current map with the constellations to keep an eye open for.
NASA also shows you how to fold up your star constellation map into a fortune teller for a fun star finding game.
You could also pick up this Star Finder. It also coordinates with the months to keep you looking in the right direction. And, if you happen to have a smart phone, I really enjoy star gazing with the Google Sky Map app. It's a quick and easy way to find constellations, which sometimes helps when you have impatient children.

I LOVE this...thanks for sharing! Can't wait for a nice fall night of star gazing with the kiddos. :)
