When I was planning this party, I was inspired by the 1920's and Great Gatsby. So I knew I wanted lots of long flowing fringe. That is why I was excited when Carmen of The Flair Exchange agreed to help me host this party! Her fringe was the perfect way to add the tassel details I wanted.
While I am not sure if they had pinatas back in the roaring 20s, it was a no-brainier for my party when I was trying to think of a centerpiece for the dessert table. And, I couldn't think of anything better than a giant question mark for a CLUE mystery party.
What you will need:
1: Cut out two question marks out of cardboard. For this project, I used one medium sized moving box. I also found it easier to use an X-acto knife and cut out both sides of the question mark all at once. 2: With the extra cardboard, cut out 2 inch strips. Tape the 2 inch strips of cardboard along the edge of the question mark. 3: Continue until you've completely wrapped around the question mark. 4: Cut a small "X" at the bottom of the question mark and again at the top of the period. 5: Thread some thick twine in between the two pinata pieces and double knot the twine on the inside of the pinata. 6: Tape the top pieces of the pinata on. 7: Glue pieces of the pre-cut tissue paper to all the sides of the pinata. 8: Trim the length of the fringe to the desired length you want!
