Raise your hand if these pumpkins look slightly familiar. No, I didn't run out and do a copycat of someone else's work. I just copied my own. I find that one of the best things in life is finding something you like to do, and then incorporating it in different parts of your life. That sounds deeper than I intended. All I really meant was that I like using my wonderful collection of permanent markers to create simple patterns on various objects - just like I did here, back in March.
For me, I love being creative, but I don't consider myself an artist. I don't create masterpieces with just a permanent marker, but I can create a fun pumpkin! And, since all I am doing is drawing lines and dots, there really shouldn't be any excuse for you to not try it too. Sometimes simple patterns are just the way to go.
To create your own simple patterned pumpkin you will need:
White spray paint
1: Spray paint your pumpkin white. (I talked a little more about how my paint job went here. So click over for more details). 2: Pick out a rockin' color palette with your markers. A good color palette is always a must (aka. design 101)! 3: Start at the top in the center and draw a simple pattern around the stem. 4: Continue drawing simple patterns around your pumpkin until you have covered it up. 5: Impress your friends by making a handful of these little guys to decorate your next fall party with.
